Gardening and Plant companions

We will be home soon and it will be a little late to plant some things considering its already in the high 80's and 90's in Phoenix. A couple years ago we tried growing some things in our backyard and we loved it! We had lots of herbs, lettuce, strawberries, tomatoes, broccoli, and peppers. We have done more research and hopefully can gain more experience as we keep trying to grow different plants. I saw this post on Brooklyn Farm and it is such a great layout of how different plants help one another. The other images are from when we had a garden going.

The first picture is by Roman Lysenko and I spotted it on A Cup of Jo. The second picture was taken when my husband and I went to a zoo in Arizona called Out of Africa and you can feed the giraffe a carrot from your mouth. I was automatically the first one to do it was gross but awesome! My husband was behind me taking the picture and he couldn't catch the part when the giraffe was taking the carrot from my mouth but it was a fun memory and maybe something we can do again one day!

Breakfast Pizza

This breakfast pizza over at Smitten Kitchen got me excited for the weekend! We love eating breakfast together on Saturday mornings and it has been happening more often since my hubby got a new job :)
